Old Thorns is a Golf Club and Spa Hotel, and caters for many different types of wedding. They have 5 Suites available for weddings with up to 500 people for a ceremony! They have a Chapel too within the building. Surrounded by stunning South Downs, it is a beautiful venue.
I was with Sharon and Chris for about 10 hours on their fabulous day. They had around 450 finalised photos from their wedding day.
Like with some brides, Sharon did not want too many of the 'bridal prep' and getting ready photos, so this meant I could split my time easily between the bride and her party, and the groomsmen getting ready. I was literally running from one end of the venue to the other at times!

In between the getting ready photos with the couple, I also manged to nip around and take the shots of the venue all ready for the day, and the ceremony room. They had a beautiful theme with peacock colours, feathers and patterns. The groom, Chris, was feeling quite nervous...

The lovely bridesmaids and flower girl made their way up the aisle. Sharon looked stunning and so happy walking towards her husband to be! He was full of emotions. They said private words to each other as well as the traditional vows, and exchanging of the rings. A personal speech was read out too.

Old Thorns allows couples to take a ride in a golf buggy to a stunning high up golf tee with amazing views. This must drive the golfers abit mad though in peak summer season and alot of weddings!

Once back from the fun of the golf buggy trip, we had the confetti shot, overhead group photos and lots of family and friend photography too. Some of these posed, and some natural.

Into the wedding breakfast meal and speeches....

Next came the cake cutting and first dance. This lovely couple laid on alot of fabulous evening entertainment for the guests, with casino tables (and mock money so the children could join in), a photo booth, prize giving and sparklers. Fun was had by everyone on this 4th August day, with about 70 guests.
